About the Artist

Liso Hockysumie is a versatile and talented musician hailing from Ezibeleni, a township in Queenstown, Eastern Cape. His music reflects the experiences of an educated Black South African man, delving into both divine and sinister aspects of human nature. Not confined to a specific genre, Liso blends disco, funk, kwaito, and 90s hip-hop, creating a refreshing yet nostalgic sound. In 2018, he co-founded a record label with producer and sound engineer CaRnYiso and released his debut album, "1324," named after his house number in Ezibeleni. He also launched a solo music series called the "Lee Hong Episodes," which have been ongoing since 2018
